Abstract Guidelines

Authorship

  • An individual may be the first author on one oral and no more than two poster presentations. There is no limit on the number of abstracts you can co-author as a non-first author.

  • The first author is responsible for presenting in person.

Presentation Types

There will be both oral and poster presentations accepted. When you submit your abstract, you can specify your preference.

  • Oral presentation: You will be given 8 minutes to present your research, followed by a 2-minute question and answer period.

  • Poster presentation: You will prepare a standard conference poster. More information about the poster session's format and setting will soon be available.

Abstracts for both oral and poster presentations adhere to the same scientific and formatting guidelines for their content. See below for specifics:

Scientific Content

Your presenting research could include data-based, theoretical, or review papers that have either (1) not been previously published or (2) been published in academic journals, both domestically and internationally, within the “past three years”. The categories of study should be scientific research on sport psychology, exercise psychology, performance psychology, as well as motor learning and control.
